AFNIX 1.6.0 « An Oriant release » is now available. This release is a base platform for further extension of the afnix engine. In particular, the collector engine has been rewritten and the object memory management has been cleaned. The Macos X Leopard platform is also supported in this release.
AFNIX 1.5.2 « Shanghai release » is now available and fixes the build process with GCC 4.2.
AFNIX 1.5.1 « Shanghai release » is now available and fixes a small documentation target build problem for the 1.5 release stream.
AFNIX 1.5.0 has been released. This release provides a xml processor in the form of a new service module called 'xml processing environment'or xpe. The whole documentation generation is now fully automated, thanks to the new xml processor. This release also provides a better support for the 'web application extension' or wax service. The support for the GNU/FreeBSD platform has also been added in this release. As usual, this release comes with its wagon of bug fixes, notably this time in the network field especially with IPV6 on the FreeBSD platform.
AFNIX 1.4.3 has been released. This release is a minor release that fixes the "install" rule in the "etc directory".
Happy new year 2007. AFNIX 1.4.2 has been released. This release is a minor release that fixes the tcp socket read method that incorrectly handles a connection reset by the peer.
AFNIX 1.4.1 has been released. This release is a minor release that fixes the lexer for not parsing correctly some floating point numbers. The standard i/o documentation is also fixed. A print media support is now available in the documentation.
AFNIX 1.4.0 has been released. This yet another milestone that incorporates the Unicode 5.0 standard as well as a brand new xml module. This release also introduces the concept of service module, which provides additional functionalities on top of regular modules. A new service module called web application management or wam is also introduced with this release. This service module is based on the newly created xml module and replaces the old web module which has been obsoleted immediately.
AFNIX 1.3.0 has been released.This is a major release that includes the support for MACOSX Tiger with universal binary and Fedora Core 5 for the X86/64 platform. The core language has been extended to support the basic multi-language plane 0. Numerous classes have been updated and two new modules have been added to the core system.
AFNIX 1.2.2 has been released. This release contains a minor patch in the example directory.
AFNIX 1.2.1 has been released. This release contains a minor patch in the build process.
AFNIX 1.2.0 has been released. As of this release, AFNIX is going Unicode. The engine has been substantially modified to operate with Unicode characters. With this major milestone achieved, AFNIX is now ready to handle larger applications that should come soon in the form of new modules.

AFNIX 1.1.2 has been released. This is a minor release that fixes a terminal capability error.
AFNIX 1.1.1 has been released. This is a minor release that fixes several build problems with the FreeBSD platform.
AFNIX 1.1.0 has been released. This is yet another milestone that incorporates a full redesign of the documentation tree as well as the inclusion of the cryptographic library that features some original implementations. The full documentation is now available in XML format and can be accessed online.
AFNIX has been successfully compiled with GCC 4.0.0. We have also reports of successful compilation for 64 bits platforms using FreeBSD.
The patch 1.0.3 has been released on Apr 19th 2005. This release incorporates the necessary files that support GCC 4. It also provides some minor fixes that were preventing the compilation on some 64 bits platforms. The latest release can be found here.

Welcome to the AFNIX programming language. This is the primary release 1.0.0 which originated from the Aleph programming language and which has been discontinued. A complete history of the language is provided in the description page.
