AFNIX is a multi-threaded functional programming language with dynamic symbol bindings that support the object oriented paradigm. The language features a state of the art runtime engine that supports both 32 and 64 bits platforms. The distribution is available with several clients and a rich set of modules and services that are designed to be platform independent. AFNIX is an interpreted language with a rich syntax that makes the functional programming a pleasant activity. It is a free software. AFNIX 1.8.0, the « Garner release » has been released and is available for immediate download. This is yet another milestone in the AFNIX release process for the year 2009 that features additional classes in the security library and a more robust engine.
